In 2012, the Portuguese Government changed the Immigration Law (Lei de Imigração 29/2012), allowing the grant of a temporary European Residency Authorization, up to 5 years, for citizens from outside the European Union, in exchange for investments in the country. These regulations offer a simple way for investors from outside the EU to get a Residency Authorization for five years (currently designated as “Golden Visa”).

Investment Options
